Laying on her back looking at the stars Luna traced the constillations with her eyes. It was far pass curfew but the stars had looked so nice from the Ravenclaw Tower that she had to come out. Luna loved the stars seeing as how they reminded her of her mother's eyes and how they too twinkled. As far as she knew the feild was empty but Luna felt eyes on her. Around Hogwarts with all the creatures it wasn't odd to have creatures look at those who walked by or were near. Sitting up however she noticed a figure off in the distance covered in darkness

Dalton stood in the darkness of the field, not moving, seeming as if he was getting life force from the darkness. Maybe called him dark, but he shrugged them off. People had no effect on him. People merely tried to make it to the top in the world, something he knew of very well.

Though as his eyes scanned the field for the first time in ten minutes, he noticed a girl laying on her back, staring at the sky. His head tilted slightly as he examined her from a distance, not ready to reveal himself. She sat up and looked his way and he froze, not wanting her to catch him. He slowly backed up even further in the darkness until he was positive she couldn't see him anymore. He quickly left the field and scaled the wall, climbing back into his room and into his bed.

As he lay in bed, a single thought ran through his head. That was close.

Watching as he backed up and left Luna herself decided it was time to go before she got caught. Daddy wouldn't be happy about it if she did just for gazing at the stars for fear of creatures we couldn't see. Sneaking up the staircases she passed the Grey Lady who was the ghost of her house. Nodding to her and smiling Luna continued on her way. She thought back to who that was standing out there. Usually she didn't see anyone. Making her way into her common room and to her bed Luna couldn't keep her mind off the stranger

Dalton woke up the next morning fairly early. He sighed and got up, looking around before he decided he should get ready. He went to the bathroom and did his morning duties before walking back in and getting dressed. He sighed, hating the uniforms they had to wear. He would rebel and wear his own clothes, but he didn't want to be noticed. He walked outside and looked around before taking a deep breath of morning air. He smiled slightly and started walking. Where to? He didn't know. Wherever his feet took him.

As the sun peaked over the moutain tops that surrounded the school Luna was asleep in her bed. Lowly the light made it's way across her bed and was soon shining into her eyes at full force. It was nice considering it was fall and the chill of winder would soon be on it's way. Sitting up in her bed Luna looked around and quietly got out of her bed and did her morning things. Putting on her uniform and putting on her radish earrings in she skipped down the stairs to the Great Hall. It was early and not many were around hoping to get as much sleep as possible before the morning classes.

Taking The Quibbler out of her messanger bag and sipping her pumpkin juice Luna picked at her food as students started to enter the Great Hall

Dalton had already eaten, thankful no one had been in the Dining Hall when he was. He had finished and slipped out just as the girl from the night before entered. He looked in the window and saw her. He tilted his head again, trying to figure out why she was so interesting to him. He shook his head and ducked down, not wanting to be seen.

Catching movement from the window Luna looked up. She caught sight of a head of dark hair. She wondered if it was the person from last night and went to inspect. Walking through the doors Luna looked around. Students were everywhere so she had a hard time following the head of hair she thought belonged to whoever she saw. Catching up she noticed that it was a boy and he was muscular. Grabbing his arm she stopped him. "Im Luna." She said dumbly

Dalton mentally cursed, closing his eyes before turning around and smiling slightly. "Hello," was all he said. He just wanted to walk away, but he wouldn't be rude. Almost fours years he's been there and he's never been noticed. He was a year away from graduating. Why was he noticed now?

"Your the one from last night? The one who was looking at the stars by the quidditch pitch." Luna looked up at him and took her hand away from his arm. She had never seen him before but figured he liked it that way. Luna had gotten glimpses of him sometimes but he was always alone. Here she was in her 6th year and just talking to him.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Dalton said, forcing himself to talk in slang so he didn't stick out.

"I suppose you wouldn't want others to know. But if it helps I think it's a good place to think too." With a smile and just those words she left. Luna hadn't gotten his name but was fine with leaving without it for the time being

Dalton bit his lip as he watched her go. She knew. And that was something he just could not have. Not at all.

Walking through the dungoens to Potions with the Slytherins. Taking her seat next to an empty chair she started pulling out her things before Professor Snape could come in. Luna's mind wasn't really there. She didn't mind potions much seeing as thats how her mother had died,working on a new potion. Still Luna was good at it and took the down time before class to get ready

Dalton walked into class on time with everyone else, though he was the last one to sit. And the only seat was next to the girl from before. He mentally growled before walking over and sitting down, hoping she didn't notice him.

Luna glanced over at the boy who sat but she could tell he didn't want to be bothered. Still she kept glancing at him and wondered who he was. She didn't have a chance to ask because Professor snape came in and announced they would be working together to make the Draft of the Living Dead potion.
